How can we help?

Short guides for the everyday work in DialedTint, from the first lead to the paid invoice.

New to DialedTint or already running your shop on it, start with the guide that matches what you are doing.

Step-by-step guides

Getting started

  1. Create your account and your business; set its address, timezone and currency in Business Settings.
  2. Invite staff from Settings > Manage Staff and choose each person's role.
  3. Add your tax rates (Invoices > Tax Rates) and canned services so proposals and invoices are quick to build.

Contacts and leads

  1. Add a contact from Contacts > Add New or from the dashboard button Add Contact (Lead).
  2. A contact without projects is a Lead; once it has a project it becomes a Customer.
  3. Use tags, notes and the Fields search to find people quickly. Lead forms bring new leads in automatically.

Projects and measurements

  1. Start a project from Projects > Start Project; pick the contact (or create it) and the project type.
  2. Open Edit Measurements to add rooms and windows with size, glass and film.
  3. Use Go to Cut Optimizer to plan the cut sheets and see the film waste before ordering.

Proposals

  1. Create a proposal from the project or from Proposals > Add New.
  2. Add Good / Better / Best options, then copy the proposal link and send it to your customer.
  3. When the customer approves, the project price follows the approved options.

Invoices and payments

  1. Create the project invoice from the project page or Invoices > Add New.
  2. Add lines and the tax rate, then share the invoice link with your customer.
  3. Record deposits and payments; the status changes to Partial or Paid automatically.

Inventory

  1. Add film rolls from Inventory > Add Roll with width, length and cost (metric units).
  2. Reserve rolls for a project from the project Inventory card.
  3. Adjust, check out or check in rolls to keep the remaining length up to date.
